My mother entered the Earth Fare ‘Take your Tomato’ Photo Contest. They chose 10 finalist in 3 categories out of over 500 photos. My mom’s photo made the top 10 in the best costume category and as you can imagine she’s pretty excited.

Tomatoes are super healthy. Did you know they have excellent antioxidant and cancer-preventing properties? (from the lycopene..that’s what makes them red.) Also, they have tons of vitamin C and A. Tomatoes are a very good source of potassium and niacin, vitamin B6, and folate.
I could go on… it’s really quite interesting. So eat up those tasty tomatoes folks! Your health matters, and you will be all the healthier for eating tomatoes. The voting ends tomorrow so go vote! All you need is a valid e-mail address — and most people have at least two.
